The second day of the Monsoon season of Mysore Races 2025 witnessed an exciting showdown in Race 2, The Pune Plate, a Maiden race exclusively for 3-year-old Indian horses over 1100 metres at 02:30 PM. In a commanding display of speed and composure, Splendid Dream (J: Shreyas Singh, T: S S Attaollahi) raced to victory for DT Racing & Breeding LLP, represented by Mr D R Thacker, stopping the clock at 1:05.631 and marking an impressive start to her racing career.
From the break, Splendid Dream settled just off the early pace, biding her time before launching a decisive burst in the final 200 metres. Showing a combination of agility and determination, she surged past the field with a late acceleration that left her rivals trailing, asserting dominance in her maiden triumph.
Midnight Blue (J: A. A. Vikrant, T: Rajesh Narredu) finished strongly to claim second in 1:05.994, keeping the winner in close contention until the final strides. Republican Star (J: Rayan Ahmed R., T: Aravind G.) took third in 1:06.574, completing a tightly contested top-three finish.
Attention now turns to The Somanathpur Plate DIV II, scheduled at 03:00 PM, as racing enthusiasts await another thrilling contest on the day’s card.
