The 12th day of the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025 began on a lively note this Thursday, 16th October, with the 1st race of the afternoon — The Lokapavani Plate (Class V, Horses Rated 00 to 25) — run over 1400 metres at 2:00 PM. In a commanding display of pace and precision, She Rules (J: Laxman Singh) stormed home under the guidance of trainer Darius R. Byramji, delivering a well-judged ride that brought early cheer to her connections, owner Mr Kersi H. Vachha. The filly crossed the line in 1:27.472, marking a confident start to the afternoon’s proceedings.

Breaking sharply from the gates, She Rules was settled beautifully into rhythm by Laxman Singh, tracking the early leaders without expending unnecessary effort. As the field straightened for the final 400 metres, the filly was switched out for her challenge and responded instantly — accelerating past her rivals with authority. Trainer Darius Byramji’s handling was evident in her measured run, as she maintained composure to secure a decisive victory and open the day’s card in fine style.

Shock And Awe (J: R. N. Darshan, T: Neil B. Devaney) finished a determined second in 1:28.039, staying on gamely to ensure the contest remained honest right to the line, while Turkoman (J: Mukesh Kumar, T: Imtiaz Khan) clocked 1:28.247 to claim third, completing the top three.

With She Rules setting the early tone for the afternoon, all eyes now turn to the next contest — The Original Vel Racing Trophy (Div II), scheduled for 2:30 PM. Stay tuned to RaceBuzz for complete coverage, results, and insights from every race at Mysore Racecourse today.
