Mysore Race Club will come into focus on Friday with a seven-race programme scheduled from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Mysore Racecards 4 September card will encompass distances from 1100m to 1600m and will comprise Class V, Class IV, maiden, Class II and Class III contests. At the centre of the programme will be THE H.H. SRI KRISHNARAJA WADIYAR MEMORIAL TROPHY (GRADE – III), which will carry a substantial ₹20,00,000 in total prize money and will provide the principal class test of the afternoon.

Mysore Racecards 4 September

The proceedings will commence with THE VIRIJA PLATE, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25. Scheduled for 2:00 PM over 1100m, the race will carry ₹3,75,000 in total prize money. The opening sprint will present a sharp examination of early pace and positioning, with runners required to establish a favourable rhythm over the abbreviated distance. A measured beginning and an effective turn of foot will assume particular significance as the field approaches the concluding stages.

At 2:30 PM, THE VARADA PLATE will follow over 1100m. The Class IV contest will be confined to horses rated 20 to 45 and will carry ₹4,50,000 in total prize money. The compact sprint will demand immediacy from the runners, leaving little margin for positional errors. Horses capable of maintaining momentum from the early stages will face a favourable tactical scenario as the race progresses towards the finish.

The third contest will be THE SOMANATHPUR PLATE, which will be staged at 3:00 PM over 1400m. The Class IV race will be open to horses rated 20 to 45 and will carry ₹4,50,000 in total prize money. The extended trip will introduce a more exacting dimension to the programme, requiring runners to regulate their pace while preserving sufficient reserves for the concluding furlong. The 1400m distance will consequently place greater emphasis on balance between speed and stamina.

The fourth event will be THE J.H. FOLEY MEMORIAL TROPHY, scheduled for 3:30 PM over 1100m. The contest will carry ₹10,50,000 in total prize money and will be restricted to maiden Indian horses aged three years only. The race will offer the emerging generation an opportunity to make its mark over the sprint distance. With relatively inexperienced runners in contention, tactical positioning and the capacity to sustain a finishing effort will be central to the outcome.

Grade III Trophy Takes Centre Stage at 4:00 PM

The afternoon’s principal contest will be THE H.H. SRI KRISHNARAJA WADIYAR MEMORIAL TROPHY (GRADE – III), scheduled for 4:00 PM over 1400m. Open to horses aged four years and over, the prestigious Grade III event will carry ₹20,00,000 in total prize money, making it the most valuable race on the card.

SHAMROCK will have Yash Narredu in the saddle, while MONEY BAGS will be partnered by P. Trevor. CROWN DRIVE will have Akshay Kumar aboard, EFFICACY will be ridden by Shreyas Singh, and KING’S BATTALION will have A. Ashhad Asbar as jockey. The quintet will bring considerable experience to the 1400m assignment, with the race set to provide a searching examination of pace, composure and finishing strength. The quality of the field will lend considerable distinction to the afternoon’s feature event.

The sixth race will be THE PADDOCK PLATE, which will take place at 4:30 PM over 1400m. The Class II contest will be open to horses rated 60 and above and will carry ₹7,00,000 in total prize money. The race will offer another demanding middle-distance test, with runners expected to negotiate the 1400m journey efficiently while preserving enough energy for the decisive stages. The elevated rating band will add further depth to the penultimate contest.

The programme will draw to a close with THE PUNE PLATE at 5:00 PM. The Class III race will cover 1600m and will be open to horses rated 40 to 65. It will carry ₹5,75,000 in total prize money and will represent the longest-distance assignment of the afternoon. The mile journey will place a premium on judicious pace distribution, as runners will need to conserve their resources before producing a sustained finishing effort.

Mysore Racecards 4 September will comprise seven races between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, with distances extending from 1100m to 1600m. The programme will feature contests across several rating bands and age categories, while THE H.H. SRI KRISHNARAJA WADIYAR MEMORIAL TROPHY (GRADE – III) will command the spotlight at 4:00 PM with ₹20,00,000 in total prize money.
