In a fitting finale to theThird day of Mysore Winter Races 2025 Meeting on Wednesday, 03 December, Race 7 – The Bandipur Plate (Class III, 5-year-olds and over, rated 40 to 65) delivered a sharp closing act over 1100m at 05:00 PM. In a result that added prominence to the day’s coverage of the Mysore race result 3 December, Flashing Famous, ridden with precision by Akash Agarwal, stormed home in 1:06.379 for trainer J. Ganesh, carrying the silks of owner Mr Pradeep Kumar N to an authoritative victory.
The early pace was aggressive, with several contenders vying for position, but Flashing Famous was kept perfectly poised just behind the leaders. As the field straightened for home, Agarwal produced a well-timed surge, the mare responding instantly with a fluent turn of foot. The acceleration proved decisive, allowing Flashing Famous to put daylight between himself and the chasing pack inside the final furlong.
Kenna attempted to threaten with a late bid under S. Mubarak for trainer Bipin V. Salvi, but despite closing ground, he had to settle for second in 1:06.510. River of Gold, partnered by Gagandeep Maan and trained by P. Ruban, kept on steadily to claim third, stopping the clock at 1:06.679.
The day had begun on a steady note with Lead Singer setting the tone in Race 1 – The Pattadakal Plate, where jockey M. Prabhakaran guided the runner confidently for trainer Yogesh R and owners M/s B P Devaraja & Kiran K S. Gentleman’s Word and Alluring Beauty filled the minor places after a competitive stretch battle. Momentum continued in Race 2 – The Sahyadri Plate Div II, where Sira produced a fluent run under Darshan N for trainer K S Mandanna and owner Mr M Eshwer, ahead of Natural Speed and Nozomi, who both ran honest races.
The intensity sharpened in Race 3 – The Fame And Glory Plate, showcasing a commanding performance by Choice, once again piloted by Darshan N for K S Mandanna, delivering a second win for the combination. Cool Winter stayed on for second, followed by City of Hustle. In the upper division of the same event, Race 4 – The Sahyadri Plate Div I, Selma proved too strong under Anil Baandal, earning trainer Pillay J S and owner Mr Deepak Kumar a decisive victory, ahead of Elegant Time and Polar Wind.
As the card progressed, Race 5 – The Dr. R. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Trophy added another layer of excitement. Czar, ridden by K. Mukesh Kumar, sealed a sharp win for trainer Arjun Mangalorkar and owners Rapar’s Galloping Stars LLP & Blazing Saddles (PF), with Aldgate and Decacorn following home. The penultimate event, Race 6 – The Sangam Plate, saw Seeking Alpha deliver a strong middle-distance performance under S. Imran, trained by M. Eshwer for owner Mr Srichand Suresh Singh, while Natural Warrior and Magic Circle claimed the remaining spots in the frame.
