Mysore race result 25 September headlined the action on Day 7 of the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025, where the third race of the afternoon – The Ranga Family Cup, a Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65 over 1800 metres – delivered a compelling finish. Run at 3:30 PM on Thursday, 25th September, Winfield (J: Antony Raj S., T: Arjun Mangalorkar) produced a polished and well-judged performance to stop the clock at 1:50.314.
Carrying the silks of Arun Alagappan Racing LLP, represented by Mr. Arun Alagappan, Mr. Chandrakanth Kankaria, and Mr. Haider Soomar, Winfield showcased both stamina and tactical brilliance to clinch the honours in style.
The race set off at a measured tempo, with the leaders dictating a steady early pace. Sitting comfortably in mid-division, Winfield was kept within striking range as jockey Antony Raj S. bided his time. Around the final bend, the filly was angled out and asked for an effort, responding with a decisive turn of foot. Once into top gear, Winfield lengthened strides powerfully, confirming trainer Arjun Mangalorkar’s preparation and sealing victory with both authority and elegance.
Among the challengers, Mystikos (J: Vinod Shinde, T: S. Padmanabhan) ran on strongly to secure the runner-up berth in 1:50.798, while Whirlwind (J: Neeraj Rawal, T: Vijay Singh) stayed on gamely to claim third place in 1:50.885. The narrow margins between the placings highlighted the competitiveness of the contest, but Winfield’s finishing kick proved the telling difference.
With The Ranga Family Cup settled, focus now shifts to the Rajakumari Leelavathi Devi Memorial Trophy, scheduled for 4:00 PM, promising another thrilling contest in Mysore’s Monsoon Meeting.
