Breaking alertly from the gates, Lead Singer quickly settled into a handy position just off the early leaders before launching a sharp turn of foot approaching the final furlong. M. Prabhakaran judged the pace perfectly, pushing his mount into top gear in the last 150 metres, and the mare responded with a fluent surge to cross the line with a clear neck to spare.
N R I Gold (J: Faiz, T: Md Sajid Qureshi) finished a close second in 1:06.924, staying in contention throughout but unable to peg back the winner in the dying strides.
