The first extra race day at Mysore Race Club is set to take place on June 5th, 2025, as part of the Mysore Summer Races 2025. This additional day has been included in the calendar to compensate for the cancellation of the originally scheduled opening day. With seven races on the card, the day is expected to add excitement for racing fans and punters alike, promising an engaging midweek outing at the historic Mysore turf.

The day will commence with The Tapathi Plate, a maiden race for three-year-old horses rated 0 to 25, scheduled to run over a distance of 1100 meters at 2:00 PM. This race features a total prize purse of ₹10,50,000, with the winner set to receive ₹5,25,000. Among the notable contenders are Falcon Fury, to be ridden by jockey Varun and trained by M. Pratap Kamath, Misty Warrior with jockey C. Umesh and trainer K.S. Mandanna, Mysore Pharaoh under jockey Sah Farid Ansari and also trained by M. Pratap Kamath, Adena ridden by Anil Baandal and trained by Feroz M. Khan, and Arianne, partnered by jockey S. Antony Raj and trained by Feroz M. Khan.

Following this, The Queen of the Hills Plate Division 2 will be run at 2:30 PM, covering a distance of 1200 meters. It is a handicap race for horses rated 00 to 25 and carries a total prize of ₹3,75,000, with the winning horse earning ₹1,87,505. Notably, Corfe Castle set the track record for this distance on February 29, 2020, finishing in 01:08.797. Contenders for this race include Fashionista with jockey Madhu Sudhan S and trainer Ruban P, Seductive with jockey Abhishek Mhatre and trainer M. Pratap Kamath, Epsom Downs with jockey Arvind Kumar N and trainer G.T. Surender, D Golden Cup ridden by Vinod Shinde and trained by Vishal Yadav, and Knotty Methods with jockey S. Antony Raj and trainer Aditya K.

At 3:00 PM, The Diabolical Plate will be held for horses rated 40 to 65, running over a distance of 1400 meters. This race offers a total prize purse of ₹5,75,000, with ₹2,87,500 awarded to the winner. Among the leading entries are Heroism, to be ridden by Faiz and trained by C.D. Monnappa, Knotty Power with jockey S. Antony Raj and trainer K. Aditya, O Manchali partnered by jockey Abhishek Mhatre and trained by Rakesh, Natural Warrior under jockey Ankit Pal and trainer Mansoor Khan, and Silver Days Again with jockey Koshi Kumar and trainer Bobby M.

The next race on the program is The Queen of the Hills Plate Division 1, scheduled for 3:30 PM. This race is also for horses rated 00 to 25 and will be run over 1200 meters. The total prize purse is ₹3,75,000. Key entries include Alexander Maximus with jockey Abhishek Mhatre and trainer Bipin V. Salvi, Gleam Bell under jockey Shyam Kumar and trainer K. At 4:00 PM, the fifth race of the day, The Obligado Trophy, will be contested over 1200 meters. This race is open to horses rated 60 and above and offers a total purse of ₹7,00,000, with the winner receiving ₹3,50,000. Top contenders include The Flying Feet with jockey M.
