The concluding contest of the evening, Race No. 7 – The Secret Treasure Plate, a Class III handicap for Indian horses rated 40 to 66 (20 to 39 eligible), was run over 1200m at 07:30 PM on Monday, 30th March 2026, at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. Bringing the curtain down on an exciting card, NEUTRALIST delivered a polished performance under P. Trevor to secure victory for trainer Aman Altaf Hussain.
Representing a large ownership group including Capt Jamshed J Appoo, Mr Ashok Ranpise, Mr Anil Saraf, Mrs Ayesha A Hussain, Mr Aftab Singh & Mr Mehtab Singh rep Sohna Stud Farm Pvt Ltd & Mr Waahiid Ali Khan rep Sshaawn Horses and Sports Pvt Ltd, the winner capped off the Mumbai race results 30 March with authority.
Breaking smartly and settling into a handy position, NEUTRALIST travelled strongly through the early stages, always within striking distance of the leaders. As the field approached the final furlong, P. Trevor angled into clear running, and the response was immediate. Showing a sharp turn of foot, NEUTRALIST surged ahead and maintained momentum to the wire, asserting superiority in the closing stages to seal a well-earned victory.
CHARLIE BROWN, ridden by Yash Narredu and trained by Imtiaz A. Sait, finished second after a consistent effort throughout the race, while DENSETSU, partnered by S. Siddharth for trainer J E Mckeown, stayed on to claim third place. The minor placings were closely contested, adding further depth to an already competitive finale.
Earlier in the day, the Mumbai card got underway at 04:30 PM with The Brave Hunter Plate over 1600 metres, where MARATHA ADMIRAL (N. S. Parmar) struck for trainer M. K. Jadhav, edging out MIGHTY HERO and ABHYANKAR. The staying test of the evening, The Western India Race Horse Owners’ Association Trophy over 2000 metres at 05:00 PM, saw YOUREMANORBORNE deliver under Prashant P. Dhebe for trainer P. S. Chouhan, with CACCINI and WINGS OF FURY filling the frame.
Sprint action followed in The Blue Pencil Plate at 05:30 PM over 1000 metres, where DREAMS COME TRUE, guided by A. Sandesh for Sanjay Kolse, proved too sharp for SPORTING ALICE and ABSOLUTE EMPEROR. The Amber Flash Plate at 06:00 PM over 1600 metres produced a strong performance from SHAANDAAR (Vivek G.) for trainer P. Shroff, ahead of GOLDEN EYE and INCREDIBLE LUCK.
The competitive momentum continued in The Cursetjee Dhunjishaw Salver at 06:30 PM over 1400 metres, with ARDAKAN, ridden by Vivek G. for P. S. Chouhan, prevailing over EARTH and YOUR UNFORGETTABLE. Just prior to the finale, The Busy Lizzie Plate at 07:00 PM over 1100 metres saw AMERICAN EAGLE score under Yash Narredu for trainer Shazaan Shah, defeating RAFAEL and ENSKY.
