Race Number 1 at the Royal Western India Turf Club’s Mumbai Meeting 2025/26 set the tone on Sunday, 4 January 2026, with Manor House delivering a decisive performance in The White Metal Trophy (Division II), a Class IV contest for Indian horses rated 20 to 46 over 1200 metres, run at 1:30 PM. In what quickly became a talking point in the Mumbai race result 4 January, Manor House, partnered by S. G. Prasad, justified strong support to score smartly for trainer Aman Altaf Hussain, clocking 1:11.061.

The winner races in the colours of Mr Solomon F Sopher, Mr Ashok Ranpise, Mr Anil Saraf, Mr Saleem A Jasdanwalla, Mr Kishore M Dingra, Mrs Ayesha A Hussain, Mr Vishwajeet Sood & Mr Waahiid Ali Khan, represented by Sshaawn Horses and Sports Pvt Ltd.

Settled handily from the gates, Manor House travelled smoothly through the early exchanges as the field sorted itself out down the straight. Prasad kept his mount balanced and within striking distance before asking for an effort inside the final furlong, where the gelding responded with authority to assert clear control and draw away in professional fashion.

Spotlight chased on resolutely to finish second under Vivek G. for trainer P. Shroff, keeping the winner honest through the latter stages. Mila, ridden by A. Omkar and trained by Nazzak B. Chenoy, stayed on to claim third, ensuring a competitive finish among the principals.

With the opener concluded in style, attention now turns to the Aslam Kader Salver, scheduled for 2:00 PM, as the Mumbai card builds towards its key contests later in the afternoon.
