Carrying the famous Saldanha family colours, Enforcer delivered a sharp and professional performance under Yash Narredu to score for trainer M. Narredu, delighting owners Mr Mark Saldanha, Mrs B E Saldanha, Mrs Sandra Saldanha, Ms Marise Ann Saldanha, Miss Merrill J Saldanha, Miss Schenelle Megan Saldanha & Mr Achuthan Siddharth. The result added another decisive chapter to the Mumbai race result 4 January narrative as the afternoon gathered momentum.
Breaking alertly from the gates, Enforcer was quickly into stride and settled into a handy position, travelling comfortably as the pace unfolded. Yash Narredu waited patiently before asking his mount to lengthen approaching the final furlong, and the response was immediate. Enforcer surged clear with a telling burst of speed, asserting control late and never allowing his rivals a serious chance to challenge.
HOUSE OF LORDS (J: Avinash Paswan, T: Narendra Lagad) stayed on resolutely to claim second place after making ground in the closing stages, while AKITANIA (J: David Allan, T: J. E. McKeown) finished on strongly to secure third, completing a competitive finish to the sprint.
