The Mumbai race result 4 January added another decisive chapter on Sunday afternoon as Race No. 2, The Aslam Kader Salver, a Class IV contest for Indian Horses rated 20 to 46 (0 to 19 eligible), was run over 2000 metres at 02:00 PM during the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Sixth Day. Ekatarina delivered a polished staying performance to score convincingly for owner Equus Racing, with Neeraj Rawal producing the winner to perfection for trainer Imtiaz A. Sait.
Settled comfortably through the early and middle stages, Ekatarina travelled with purpose as the field found rhythm over the testing two-kilometre trip. Rawal bided his time before asking the filly to improve approaching the final bend, and once produced in the straight, she lengthened smoothly to assert control, showing both stamina and composure to seal the issue without undue pressure.
The runner-up honours went to Allez L’Etoile (J: Mustakim Alam, T: Narendra Lagad), who stayed on resolutely after being asked for an effort in the straight, while Little John (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Dallas Todywalla) finished on gamely to claim third, ensuring a competitive finish among the principals.
With The Aslam Kader Salver safely in the books, attention quickly turns to the upcoming Behram A. Engineer Salver, scheduled for 02:30 PM, as the Mumbai card continues to build toward its headline moments.
