In Race 4, The K. M. Munshi Cup, a Class III event for Indian horses rated 40 to 66, the spotlight at the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26 (Second Day, Thursday, 4th December 2025) belonged entirely to Golden Dancer. Run over 1800 metres at 03:30 PM, the contest delivered one of the afternoon’s standout performances.
As part of our continuing Mumbai race result 4 December coverage, Golden Dancer powered home with authority for trainer Dallas Todywalla, guided confidently by jockey A. Sandesh for the ownership team of Mr D R Thacker rep. DT Racing & Breeders LLP, Mr Mukul Sonawala, Mr Girish S. Mehta & Mrs Rashmee A. Amersey rep. So Blest Trading Co. Pvt Ltd. The filly stopped the clock at 1:51:641, sealing a polished and decisive victory.
The race unfolded at an even tempo, with Golden Dancer settling into a handy position early before creeping closer approaching the final bend. Once straightened up, Sandesh unleashed the winner’s fluent stride, allowing Golden Dancer to quicken smoothly and take command inside the last furlong. The response was immediate and imposing, leaving the chasing pack with little opportunity to narrow the margin as he surged past the post in complete control.
The narrowest of margins separated the places, with Tiepolo finishing second under P. Trevor for trainer P. Shroff, clocking 1:51:680 after staying in contention throughout. Exuma, partnered by N. S. Parmar for trainer M. K. Jadhav, claimed third in 1:53:625, completing the frame with a determined but distant effort behind the leading pair.
With The K. M. Munshi Cup wrapped up in style, attention now turns to the next event of the afternoon — The Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy (VI Bart) Trophy, scheduled for 04:00 PM, promising another engaging chapter in the day’s racing drama.
