The opening contest of the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Additional Race Day on Monday, 30th March 2026 saw MARATHA ADMIRAL assert his authority in Race 1, The Brave Hunter Plate, a Class V handicap for Indian horses rated 1 to 26 over 1600 metres at 04:30 PM. Delivering a composed and effective performance, MARATHA ADMIRAL (J: N. S. Parmar, T: M. K. Jadhav) raced to a well-earned victory for owners Mr & Mrs Vijay B Shirke, Mr Jay V Shirke & Mr Darius Rafaat, setting the tone for the afternoon’s racing.

In what will feature prominently in the Mumbai race result 30 March coverage, MARATHA ADMIRAL settled into a handy position early, travelling comfortably behind the pace before being angled out for a clear run approaching the straight. Once asked for an effort, he responded gamely, lengthening stride and asserting control inside the final furlong to seal the contest with authority, never allowing rivals to seriously threaten his advantage.

MIGHTY HERO (J: P. Trevor, T: James E. Mckeown) ran a solid race to finish second, keeping on steadily but unable to match the winner’s finishing burst. ABHYANKAR (J: A. S. Peter, T: M. Narredu) filled the third spot after staying on late, ensuring a competitive finish among the placed runners.

With the day now underway, attention shifts to the next contest, The Western India Race Horse Owners’ Association Trophy at 05:00 PM, where the competition is expected to intensify further.
