The competitive spirit of the Mumbai race result 26 February meeting came to the fore in Race No. 4, The Sir Charles Forbes Trophy, a Terms race for maiden Indian horses aged three years over 1400 metres at Mumbai Racecourse, run at 6:00 PM on Thursday, 26th February 2026. MENORCA delivered a polished and professional performance to land the spoils for trainer Dallas Todywalla and jockey David Allan. Owned by Mr Geoffrey B Nagpal & Mrs Charonne Nagpal, the three-year-old displayed maturity beyond maiden company to register a memorable breakthrough success.

Breaking alertly from the gates, MENORCA settled into a comfortable rhythm just off the early pace as the field sorted itself out along the backstretch. David Allan judged the tempo to perfection, allowing the horse to travel sweetly before gradually improving position approaching the home turn. Once balanced for the final run-in, MENORCA quickened decisively, asserting superiority inside the final furlong and holding firm under confident handling to seal the verdict in authoritative fashion.

SOLEVA, ridden by Vivek G. and trained by P. Shroff, kept on gamely to secure second place, staying on resolutely but unable to match the winner’s finishing burst. INCREDIBLE LUCK, under Yash Narredu for trainer Rajesh Narredu, ran on to finish third, shaping with promise in the closing stages as the trio drew clear of the remainder.

With The Sir Charles Forbes Trophy concluded, the spotlight now shifts to the upcoming Indian Air Force Trophy at 6:30 PM, where another competitive field is set to keep the Mumbai Racecourse crowd thoroughly engaged.
