The Royal Western India Turf Club’s Mumbai Meeting 2025/26 (Thirteenth Day) on Sunday, 22nd February 2026 gathered pace in Race 7, The Corfe Castle Trophy, a Class I handicap for horses rated 80 and upward (60 to 79 eligible), contested over 1200 metres at 7:15 PM. SOCIAL BUTTERFLY delivered a top-tier sprinting performance under Neeraj Rawal, powering home for trainer Dallas Todywalla and providing a memorable success for owners Mr Mukul Sonawala, Mr Nozer Panthaky, Mr D R Thacker rep DT Racing & Breeders LLP, Mr Kairus Dadachanji, Mr P J Vazifdar, Mr M Rishad, Mr Munchi P Shroff & Mr K H Vachha.
The Mumbai race result 22 February once again highlighted the depth of sprinting talent on display at the evening meeting. Breaking smartly from the gates, SOCIAL BUTTERFLY was positioned prominently from the outset, travelling strongly behind the early pace. Neeraj Rawal timed his challenge to perfection, easing the mare into top gear approaching the final furlong. Once asked for a decisive effort, she quickened impressively, putting daylight between herself and her pursuers to seal the contest with authority.
FONTANA finished second under Prashant P. Dhebe, who also saddled the runner-up, staying on gamely but unable to bridge the gap in the closing stages. MARKET KING, ridden by Vivek G. and trained by Imtiaz A. Sait, completed the frame in third after keeping on steadily through the final 200 metres.
With The Corfe Castle Trophy settled, attention quickly shifts to Race 8, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy at 7:45 PM, where another competitive field promises to bring the curtain down on an absorbing evening of racing in Mumbai.
