Race 4 of the Royal Western India Turf Club’s Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, held on Sunday, 22nd February 2026 (Evening Race Day), saw MINARI deliver a polished performance in The Intervalve Poonawalla Ltd. Trophy. The 1200-metre terms event for maiden Indian horses aged three years produced a decisive winner at 5:30 PM, with Neeraj Rawal guiding the Imtiaz A. Sait-trained colt to a confident breakthrough success.

Owned by Mr Mukul Sonawala, Mr D R Thacker rep. DT Racing & Breeders LLP, Mr Chetan Shah, Mr Girish S Mehta & Mr Sunil S Majithia, MINARI justified market support with a professional display from start to finish. The Mumbai race result 22 February card continued to gather momentum as another promising youngster announced himself in style.

Breaking alertly from the gates, MINARI settled into a handy position behind the early pace before Rawal angled him into clear running approaching the final furlong. Showing maturity beyond maiden company, the colt responded gamely when asked to quicken, stretching clear in the closing stages and maintaining a safe advantage to the post. It was a measured ride, combining patience and precision, and the result never looked in doubt once he hit top stride.

PINNACLE, ridden by Yash Narredu and trained by M. Narredu, kept the winner within range for much of the sprint but had to settle for second best at the wire. ORGANISED CHAOS, under P. Trevor for trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, finished on to claim third, ensuring the minor honours were keenly contested in the final strides.

With this contest concluded, anticipation now shifts to the evening’s marquee event, The Poonawalla Breeders’ Multi-Million (Grade I) at 6:00 PM, where the spotlight intensifies and the quality rises another notch on an absorbing Mumbai programme.
