The fifth race on the card, The Y. M. Chaudhry Memorial Trophy, provided a gripping spectacle at the Royal Western India Turf Club during the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Eighth Day, on Sunday, 18th January 2026, with the contest run over 1400 metres for Indian horses aged three years only at 4:00 PM. Adding further weight to the Mumbai race result 18 January, Invictor delivered a polished and authoritative performance to land the honours for trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed, under a confident ride from David Allan, racing in the colours of Mr Gaurav Sethi, Mr Shantanu Sharma, Mr Chirag Sharma & Miss Anita A. Khalakdina.

Settling comfortably through the early stages, Invictor travelled smoothly behind the pace before being angled out entering the straight. Once asked to quicken, the colt responded with an impressive turn of foot, asserting clear control in the final furlong and drawing away to score decisively, showcasing both balance and maturity beyond his years.

The runner-up spot went to Angelisa (J: A. Prakash, T: P. Shroff), who stayed on resolutely after racing prominently, while stablemate Lorenzo (J: Yash Narredu, T: P. Shroff) finished on strongly to claim third.

With The Y. M. Chaudhry Memorial Trophy concluded to warm applause, attention now turns to the S. M. Shah Salver, scheduled for 4:30 PM, as the Mumbai afternoon promises more high-quality racing action.
