The Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, Twelfth Day on Thursday, 12th February 2026 gathered pace with Race No. 2, The M. D. Mehta Trophy, a terms race for maiden Indian horses aged three years over 1000 metres at 03:00 PM. In a sharp and professional display, Latios (J: Yash Narredu) stormed to victory for trainer Aman Altaf Hussain, clocking a swift 0:59:175 to break his maiden in style. Sporting the silks of Mr Waahiid Ali Khan rep Sshaawn Horses and Sports Pvt Ltd, Mr Kapil Bahl & Mr Anil Saraf, the filly announced himself as one to watch in the sprinting ranks. For followers tracking the Mumbai race result 12 February, this was a performance that stood out for its authority and composure.

Breaking alertly from the gates, Latios was quickly into stride, settling just off the early pace as the field hurtled down the straight. Yash Narredu kept his mount balanced and travelling comfortably through the first half of the journey, allowing the leaders to dictate terms before pressing the accelerator inside the final furlong. Once asked for his effort, Latios responded instantly, lengthening his stride and surging clear with decisive acceleration. LUCKY DIAMOND (J: K. Nazil, T: Narendra Lagad) ran a creditable race to finish second, staying on gamely in pursuit of the winner. DREAMS COME TRUE (J: A. Prakash, T: Sanjay Kolse) filled the third spot after keeping on steadily through the closing stages. While the runner-up and third both showed promise, they were ultimately outpaced by Latios’ sharp finishing burst.

With the sprinting contest settled, attention now turns swiftly to The P. D. Bolton Trophy at 03:30 PM, as the Mumbai card continues to build toward its feature attractions.
