Setting the early tone for the card and featuring prominently in the Mumbai race result 1 February, VINCERO produced a sharp, professional performance to score decisively for trainer Shazaan Shah, with Aditya Waydande in the saddle, stopping the clock at 1:22:603. The winner carried the colours of Mr Jaydev M Mody rep J M Livestock Pvt Ltd & Mr Vrajesh Prabhakar Udani, rewarding connections with a well-earned success.
From the outset, Vincero travelled sweetly through the early fractions, settling into a handy position as the field sorted itself out around the bend. Waydande waited patiently before asking his mount to lengthen approaching the final furlong, where Vincero responded with authority, quickening clear to assert control and maintain momentum all the way to the line.
The runner-up honours went to Don Julio (J: P. Trevor | T: Rehanullah Khan), who stayed on resolutely to finish second, keeping the winner honest without quite bridging the gap. Ashwa Gypsy (J: S. Siddharth | T: Sanjay Kolse) completed the frame in third after a steady late effort, rounding off a competitive opening contest.
With the Tattersalls Million decided, attention at Mahalaxmi now turns swiftly to the Keki D. Mehta Memorial Million, scheduled for 2:45 PM, as the Mumbai card continues to build toward its key features of the day.
