The action-packed fifth race of the Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, the Thackers Eclipse Stakes of India (Grade II) for horses aged four years and over, saw King Ke (J: C. Umesh, T: P. Shroff) storm home over 2000m at 04:30 PM on Sunday, 1st February 2026. Racing in the colours of Mr & Mrs Vijay B Shirke, Mr Jay V Shirke, Mrs Daisy K D B Mehta & Mr Dara K Mehta rep Darashaw Bloodstock Pvt Ltd, and Mr D R Thacker rep DT Racing & Breeders LLP, King Ke delivered a commanding performance that kept the crowd buzzing, making this Mumbai race result 1 February one to remember.

From the outset, King Ke settled beautifully just off the pace, tracking the early leaders with patience and poise. As the field rounded the home turn, Umesh found a clear path along the rail, allowing King Ke to surge with decisive acceleration in the final 400m. The combination of timing, stamina, and tactical judgment ensured a smooth yet emphatic victory, underlining both the jockey’s skill and trainer Shroff’s preparation.

Runner-up Thalassa (J: Mustakim Alam, T: Faisal A. Abbas) stayed in contention throughout and fought valiantly, finishing strongly but unable to match the winner’s final thrust. Psychic Star (J: Vivek G., T: P. Shroff) closed well to claim third, rounding out a top three that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

With the fifth race concluded, anticipation now builds for the Rattonsey Multi-Million, set to start at 05:00 PM, promising another thrilling chapter in the Mumbai racing calendar.
