The Mumbai meeting will present a competitive eight-race programme at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) on Sunday, 28 December 2025, with racing set to commence at 1:30 PM. The meeting will be headlined by the Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia Trophy (Grade III), the day’s feature contest, while the card will also include juvenile maidens, high-grade handicap action, and races across all major classes for Indian horses.
The Mumbai Race Cards 28 December will cover distances ranging from 1000 metres to 1800 metres and will distribute prize money from grassroots Class V events through to the premier Grade III feature.
The afternoon will open at 1:30 PM with The P. A. d’Avoine Trophy, a Class III sprint for Indian horses rated 40 to 66 over 1200 metres. Carrying a total purse of Rs.5,50,000, the race will feature Bee Magical, Ashwa Brazil, Rambler, Goddes of Dawn, Azure, and Moonlight Kiss.
At 2:00 PM, juvenile focus will take centre stage in The Topspin Plate, a maiden race restricted to two-year-old Indian horses over 1000 metres. Elevate, Family Man, Fair Dame, Inheritance, Rogue, and Spectra will contest the Rs.12,00,000 event.
Quality performers will assemble at 2:30 PM for The Karl Umrigar Salver, a Class I race for horses rated 80 and upward over 1400 metres. With Rs.10,00,000 in prize money, the field will include Christophany, Market King, Ataash, Son Of A Gun, Chagall, and Ardakan.
Another important juvenile test will follow at 3:00 PM with The Lt. Col. Govind Singh (VRC) Trophy, a maiden contest for two-year-old Indian horses over 1400 metres. Alexios, Buckingham, Caspian, D’Artagnan, and Ghost Of Victory will line up for the Rs.12,00,000 prize.
At 3:30 PM, The Dr. I. C. Nagree Trophy will be run for Class IV maiden Indian horses rated 20 to 46 over 1200 metres. Charlie Brown, Don Julio, Sophisticated, Crimson Pirate, Skandha, and Between Lands will compete for total stakes of Rs.6,35,250.
The centrepiece of the Mumbai Race Cards 28 December will arrive at 4:00 PM with The Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia Trophy (Grade III). Run over 1800 metres and open to three-year-old and older horses, the Rs.15,00,000 feature will bring together Psychic Star, Odysseus, African Gold, Evaldo, Golden Thunder, and Dream Alliance in the highest-class contest of the day.
The penultimate event at 4:30 PM will be The D. W. Reid Plate, a Class V race for Indian horses rated 1 to 26 over 1600 metres. Exotic Star, Yuletide, Jagger, Maratha Admiral, Speak The Breed, and Baleno will take part for Rs.5,00,000.
The meeting will conclude at 5:00 PM with The Ram Zodge Plate, a Class IV race for Indian horses rated 20 to 46 over 1400 metres. Timeless Fortune, Medusa, Zafferano, Foujita, Aries, and Surrealist will contest the final race worth Rs.5,50,000.
