Moon Star Shines Bright in Mysore Race Club Million 2025
The feature race of the day at Mysore Race Club, the prestigious Mysore Race Club Million 2025, offered an exciting test over a mile (1600m) for promising three-year-old Indian horses foaled in 2021, and it didn’t disappoint.
Rising to the challenge was Moon Star, who delivered a classy and commanding performance under jockey C. Umesh to take home the title in 1:37.392. Trained by Aravind G and owned by Dr. A.C. Muthiah, Moon Star showed maturity beyond her years with a measured pace and well-timed acceleration that proved unmatchable in the final furlong.
Mahler, partnered by P. Trevor for trainer S. S. Attaollahi, chased bravely and finished second in 1:37.915, unable to reel in the winner but clearly stamping himself as a talent for the future. Zilfee, ridden by S. Antony Raj and trained by Eshwer M, completed the top three in 1:38.234, holding off several late challengers in a close finish for the minors.
As the curtain temporarily fell on the day’s marquee event, the buzz around the paddock remained electric with The Ashwajaya Plate Div 1 lined up next.
