The fourth day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2025 continued to deliver high-octane racing, with the Beautiful Babe Plate producing yet another thrilling finish in the day’s third event. Held at 2:30 PM, the 1400-meter contest offered a generous purse of Rs.11,00,000, drawing a competitive field eager to make their mark on the summer season.
Moon Star, trained by Aravind G. and ridden by the in-form Akshay Kumar, claimed a decisive victory in 1:25.63. Showing maturity beyond expectation, the colt settled well in the early stages before accelerating smoothly in the straight to clinch the win with authority. The synergy between rider and mount was evident, as Moon Star found a strong finishing gear when it mattered most.
Following closely was Rosario, who put in a valiant performance under jockey Vivek G. and trainer P. Shroff, finishing second in 1:26.01. Rosario was in striking range throughout and appeared a major threat turning for home but was unable to match Moon Star’s final kick.
Xanthe, partnered by A. Sandesh and trained by S.S. Attaollahi, completed the top three in 1:26.97. Although she showed promise early on, the filly couldn’t quite close the gap in the final furlong but still turned in a respectable performance against a strong field.
The win by Moon Star not only added another success to Akshay Kumar’s impressive summer form but also showcased trainer Aravind G.’s ability to prepare his horses well for these competitive middle-distance tests.
Racing fans now turn their attention to the upcoming Pendragon Plate Div II, a 1200-meter sprint slated for 3:00 PM, promising more excitement from Bangalore Turf Club’s lively summer card.
