Moana breaks maiden in style with The M.R.C Charitable Trust Trophy win at Mysore Race Club

A high-stakes contest unfolded in the fourth race of Day 8 at the Mysore Summer Races 2025, as a field of promising three-year-olds lined up for the M.R.C Charitable Trust Trophy, a 1200-meter terms race exclusively for maiden Indian- 3-year-olds. The event was flagged off at 4:00 pm, offering a total purse of ₹10,50,000, with ₹5,25,000 and a trophy worth ₹30,000 reserved for the winner.

Rising to the occasion was Moana, who displayed speed and strong determination under jockey S. Antony Raj to land her first career win in 1:11.370. The winner is trained by Eshwer M and races in the colours of Manjri Horse Breed’s Farm Pvt. Ltd., represented by Mr. Pallon S. Mistry.

Natural Look, partnered by Ankit Pal for trainer Mansoor Khan, put in a credible effort and closed well in the final meters but had to settle for second. The runner-up clocked at 1:11.703, racing for Mr. Raja Malhotra.

Rounding off the top three was Mysore Pharaoh, guided by M. S. Deora for trainer Pratap Kamath M, who finished in 1:12.042. The horse, owned by Col. Kuldeep Singh Garcha, ran a fair race but was unable to match the front pair’s pace.
