The 4th race of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races 2025, THE ROYAL CALCUTTA TURF CLUB CUP DIV I, a Class II handicap for horses aged three years and upward rated 60 to 85 over 1200 meters, saw Miss Maya (5Y B M) deliver a commanding performance on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:10 PM. Owned by Ms Chitturi Krishna Kannaiah, Soma Raju Adipudi, and Sureshbabu Daggubati Venkatesh Daggubati, the talented mare, under the guidance of jockey Sonu Kumar for trainer Neelesh Rawal, crossed the finish line in a time of 1:14.332, asserting her superiority in decisive fashion.

From the outset, Miss Maya positioned herself prominently, maintaining a smooth rhythm along the inside track. Demonstrating tactical versatility and a strong finishing kick, she surged ahead in the final 200 meters, leaving her rivals struggling to match her pace. Her acceleration and composure in the stretch ensured a well-deserved victory, delighting connections and onlookers alike.

The runner-up spot went to High Speed Dive (5Y B G), ridden by Gaurav Singh for trainer B Mukesh Kumar, who finished closely behind in 1:14.558, showing a determined effort throughout. Star Forever (4Y B F), with Ajay Kumar up for trainer K S V Prasad Raju, completed the trifecta in 1:14.588, rounding off an exciting finish where the top three were separated by mere fractions of a second.
