The 1600-meter feature, carrying a total purse of ₹27,60,000 saw a strong field of classic hopefuls line up at Bangalore Turf Club on a high-stakes Thursday.
Partnered by Neeraj Rawal and trained by S. Padmanabhan, Miracle Star ran like a seasoned professional. Clocking 1:37.91, the horse struck the front at the right time and maintained a resolute gallop all the way to the wire. The win adds a significant feather in the cap for the ownership team, Radiant Blood Stock Pvt Ltd, represented by Mrs. Sharmila Padmanabhan and Mr. S. Padmanabhan.

The late burst by Sicyon, with A. Sandesh aboard for S.S. Attaollahi, added drama to the finish. However, despite clocking 1:38.14, the horse had to settle for second place in a close-run affair. The runner-up is owned by M/s. Blazing Saddles(PF) rep. by Mr. Niraj Tyagi & Mr. Vikas Sachdeva.
Completing a memorable outing for the Padmanabhan stable was El Rey, who took third under P. Trevor in 1:38.57. Owned by Queen Gambit Racing Syndicate, El Rey stayed on gamely, giving his camp plenty to look forward to in upcoming classics.
