The third race on the tenth day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting was The Stewards Cup, a competitive 1400-meter handicap event for horses rated 60 to 85. With a total prize purse of ₹7,00,000 and the winner’s share at ₹3,50,000, the race went off at 2:40 PM and lived up to expectations with a strong and decisive performance by MANDARINO.

Ridden by the experienced A. Sandesh and trained by Irfan Ghatala, MANDARINO produced a well-judged run, taking control in the straight and powering away from the opposition to land the honours by timing at 1:25.16. The horse showed both tactical speed and finishing strength, rewarding connections with a convincing win in this handicap.

Finishing a close second was POSITANO, who ran a resolute race under Akshay Kumar for trainer S. S. Attaollahi. The runner stayed on gamely in the final stages but couldn’t quite match the winner’s momentum and timed at 1:26.11.

INVINCIBLE, guided by Angad and trained by V. Narayana Gowda, completed the frame with a steady third by clocking at 1:26.22. The runner was always in contention and showed promise with a solid closing effort.

The race unfolded cleanly and was marked by competitive positioning throughout, with MANDARINO ultimately emerging as the standout. With this win, trainer Irfan Ghatala added another feature success to his summer tally, and A. Sandesh continued his fine form in the saddle.

All eyes now move to the next race on the card — The Amokbash Million (Div I), another exciting event that promises high-quality action from the 3-year-old maidens at the Bangalore Turf Club.
