Lingfield Park will host a varied six-race programme on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, with the afternoon scheduled to begin at 2:30pm and conclude at 5:00pm. The fixture will encompass contests for two-year-old fillies, three-year-olds and older horses, with race distances ranging from 5f 6y to 1m 4f. Prize money will range from £6,200 to £20,000, while the programme will bring together novice, fillies’ and handicap events.
The opening contest will be THE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) at 2:30pm, which will be contested over 1m 2f for three-year-olds and upwards and will carry £6,200 in prize money. The 14-runner field will include Warrnambool, Lady of Chivalry, Roman Secret, Little Tiger, Chico Dulce, Shifra and Arlecchino’s Rex among the listed runners. The middle-distance opening event will provide the first test of the afternoon and will set the tone for the six-race programme.
The second race will get underway at 3:00pm with THE BRITISH EBF FILLIES’ RESTRICTED NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 3), a 5f 6y contest restricted to two-year-old fillies. The race will offer £17,000 in prize money and will feature five runners. Crimson Blaze, Desert Sands, Birkacre Brow, Ouragan and Bellatina will form the field, with the short-distance novice contest set to provide a distinct change of emphasis from the opening event.
At 3:30pm, THE BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF FILLIES’ HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) will provide another 1m 2f test for three-year-olds and upwards. The contest will carry £20,000 in prize money and will feature 10 runners. Rastnet, Deedaydiva, She Commands, Pomme Pomme, Radiance, Distant Shore and Big Bear Hug will be among the listed contenders. The race will return the programme to a middle-distance setting after the preceding sprint-distance novice event.
The fourth contest will take place at 4:00pm and will be THE CLASSIFIED STAKES (CLASS 6), which will cover 1m 4f for three-year-olds and upwards and will carry £6,200 in prize money. Charencey, Crack of Thunder, Dinah Myte, Dotties Star, Dubai Immo, Fighting Poet and Foinix will be among the listed runners. As the longest race on the card, the event will provide a greater test of stamina and will represent a notable shift from the shorter distances earlier in the programme.
The fifth race will begin at 4:30pm and will be THE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) for three-year-olds over 7f 1y. The contest will carry £10,000 in prize money and will feature seven runners. Bone Marra, Do Bronxs, Malachy’s Wish, Three Non Blondes, Brisk Symphony, Souffler and Pints In Peace will make up the listed field. The seven-furlong contest will provide another change in distance as the programme moves towards its closing stages.
The meeting will conclude at 5:00pm with THE APPRENTICE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6), which will be run over 7f 1y for three-year-olds and upwards. The closing contest will carry £6,200 in prize money and will feature 11 runners. King David, Prince Ali, African Spirit, Jackson Street, Yes Waliim, Distillation and Ashford Hill will be among those listed for the final race, which will bring the six-race afternoon to a close over the same distance as the preceding contest.
The fixture will therefore offer a broad range of racing across six contests, moving from the 5f 6y juvenile fillies’ novice event to the 1m 4f staying test. Two fillies’ races, a novice contest, an apprentice handicap and several Class 6 and Class 4 events will give the programme a varied structure, while the different distances will provide contrasting challenges throughout the afternoon.
