A competitive afternoon of jumping action will be staged on Sunday as Leicester Race Cards 28 December set out a seven-race National Hunt programme scheduled to run from 12:05 PM to 3:32 PM. The fixture will feature a blend of novice hurdles and handicap chases across a range of distances, offering a balanced and informative card at the Midlands venue.
The programme will open with a novice hurdle before progressing through a sequence of handicap contests, culminating in a Class 3 handicap hurdle as the closing race. Prize money across the meeting will range from £7,000 to £20,000, underlining the solid quality of the afternoon’s racing.

The 1:12 PM event, the Carling The UK’s Number One Hurdle Race (Class 4), will be staged over 2m 4f 110y for £8,000. The expected runners will include Casa Loupi, Gavin, Bigz Belief, Carpe Diem, Upthereforthinking and Borna Gem.
At 1:47 PM, the Madri Excepcional Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 4) will be contested over 1m 7f 201y with prize money of £9,000. Sun Art, Moodofthemoment, Flamelco, Jackpot Cash, Rodney and Pep Talking will form the line-up.
The 2:22 PM race, the Rekorderlig Premium Swedish Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 5), will be run over 2m 4f 110y for £7,000. Jhentong Enki, Dinofromberlais, Tarbuck, Smile Back, Walkinthecotswolds and Olivia Kate will be among the declared runners.
One of the stronger races on the card will arrive at 2:57 PM with the Aspall Cyder Leicestershire Silver Fox Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 3). Run over 2m 4f 25y and worth £20,000, the race will feature Hecouldbetheone, The Bluesman, Miralago, Stratagem, Noche Negra and Lylian.
The meeting will conclude at 3:32 PM with the Salt Jute IPA Leicestershire Bronze Fox Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 3) over 1m 7f 113y, carrying prize money of £15,000. Gentleman Toboot, Bingoo, Double Oban and Justus will be set to contest the finale.
