Leicester Racecourse stages six National Hunt races on Tuesday. The Leicester Race Cards 20 January include a mix of novice hurdles, maiden races and handicap chases, providing a full afternoon of jumps action over distances from 1m 7f to 2m 6f. Each race tests stamina and jumping ability on Leicester’s winter track. Racing starts at 1:32pm and finishes at 4:02pm, with consistent prize money and solid fields throughout the meeting.

The meeting opens at 1:32pm with the NOVICES’ HURDLE (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE), run over 2m 4f 110y with prize money of £10,000. Eight runners are declared, including Hot To Go, Skuna Bay, Starzand, Ubatuba and Bresiliant. The race provides an early test of stamina and hurdling ability for the novice division.

The feature race, the HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 3), takes place at 2:02pm over 2m 6f 151y, with £14,000 in prize money. Seven runners are set to line up, including Lac de Constance, Jipcot, Happy And Fine, Taras Halls and Landen Calling. The contest demands accurate jumping and staying power on Leicester’s winter course.

At 2:32pm, the MAIDEN HURDLE (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE) runs over 1m 7f 113y, carrying £10,000 in prize money. Thirteen runners, including Ayyadieh, Francky Blue, Garavogue, Josh Central and Kastellion, are declared for a competitive introduction to hurdles.

The HANDICAP HURDLE (CLASS 4) follows at 3:02pm over 1m 7f 113y, with £8,000 in prize money. Eleven runners, including Razzle Dazzle Boy, Ilot de L’Isle, Carrigmoorna Rowan, At The Oche and Tigers Moon, are set to compete, providing a mid-afternoon test of consistency and stamina.

The HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 5) runs at 3:32pm over 2m 6f 151y, with prize money of £7,000. Ten runners, including Hall Lane, Devon Dude, Jeu d’Opale, Another Day Out and Le Galli Bier, will contest this staying chase, where accuracy over fences and stamina are essential.

The meeting concludes with the MARES’ HANDICAP HURDLE (CLASS 5) at 4:02pm, run over 2m 4f 110y with £6,000 in prize money. Eleven runners, including Kantagua du Large, Sophie Power, Subtle Fortune, Walkinthecotswolds and Chosen Hero, are set to compete in the final race of the card.
