Lassified (Stay Inside) stamped herself as one of the nation’s brightest young stars on Saturday, winning the Listed Wellesley Stakes at Trentham in commanding fashion. The Andrew Forsman-trained 2-year-old filly, racing in the famous OTI silks, was quickly into stride and never looked back, edging clear of her six rivals by half a length in the 1100m contest—a margin that barely hinted at her dominance.

A $110,000 purchase from Glenbeigh Farm at the 2025 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Lassified has already rewarded her owners’ patience and faith. She was earlier bought as a $70,000 weanling at the 2024 Inglis Great Southern Sale by Glenbeigh Farm before being passed on to Forsman Racing and Andrew Williams Bloodstock. Terry Henderson of OTI Racing said, “It’s fantastic for all of the owners in this filly; they’re getting an enormous thrill. The Inglis Race Series really brings new owners into the sport, especially the ladies’ ownership groups with the Pink Bonus.”

With two wins from three starts in New Zealand, plans are now in place for Lassified to head to Australia for a potential tilt at the $2 million Inglis Millennium on February 7. A Russian Revolution half-brother to Lassified will also make waves at the 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale as Lot 795 on behalf of Sledmere Stud.

The Wellesley Stakes was just the latest in a fstive surge of success for Inglis graduates across Australasia. Boxing Day at Ellerslie saw Stephen Marsh’s Well Written (Written Tycoon) claim the G2 Auckland Guineas over a mile, defeating male rivals for the first time in stakes company. Meanwhile, in Victoria, John McArdle’s Regal Zeus (Zoustar) captured the Listed Lord Stakes at Sandown, marking his 10th career win and third stakes victory.

Randwick also witnessed a milestone as Kris Lees-trained Tavi Time (Tavistock) secured a stylish G3 Summer Cup victory, passing the $1.1 million earnings mark with a back-to-back win in the prestigious event. Eagle Farm followed suit on December 27 when Bjorn Baker’s Amor Victorious (Caravaggio) ended a year-long wait for victory in the Listed Members Mile.

In Sydney, Joe Pride’s King’s Secret (Shalaa) celebrated a first career stakes triumph in the Listed Canterbury Sprint over 1200m on New Year’s Day, while Ellerslie saw Stephen Marsh-trained Queen Zou (Zoustar) capture the G2 Rich Hill Mile, highlighting her first stakes success. Both prospects underline the remarkable depth of Inglis graduates performing at the highest level across the region.

From well-bred 2-year-olds like Lassified to seasoned campaigners like Tavi Time, the ongoing surge of Inglis graduates is a striking testament to the value and vision of Australasia’s elite bloodstock programs.
