La Dominate Clinches The Police Cup in a Power-Packed Sprint at RCTC

The feature event of the day, The Police Cup, lit up the track at Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) as the sixth race brought together top-class contenders over 1200 meters. Carrying the highest prize purse of Rs. 5,50,000, including a prestigious Rs. 25,000 trophy, the race delivered a cracking finish in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

La Dominate, a 5-year-old dark bay horse by Dali (USA) out of Lucy In The Sky, powered through under the expert guidance of jockey Suraj Narredu and the training of B. Mahesh. The bay blazed to victory in 1:11.619 at 11/2 odds, securing his place as the star of the day.

Close on his heels was Roman Spirit, a 5-year-old bay by Gusto (GB) out of Romany Spirit (IRE). Ridden by P. Trevor and trained by Patrick Quinn, the consistent performer timed 1:11.944 at 2/1 odds, putting up a spirited challenge.

Superlative, the 6-year-old dark bay gelding by Roderic O’Connor (IRE) out of She Is Special, rounded off the top three. Under jockey M. D. Sameer and trained by Shafiq Khan, he clocked 1:11.994 at 12/1 odds, wrapping up a thrilling finish.
