Bringing the curtain down on the day’s proceedings, MI ARION (J: Antony Raj S.) delivered a sharp and decisive performance to claim top honours for trainer Rutherford Alford, representing M/s Cherie Sports Pvt Ltd.
In what added another highlight to the Kolkata race results 27 March, MI ARION showcased a fine blend of early positioning and finishing speed. Settled well within striking distance through the early stages, the eventual winner was brought into contention approaching the final furlong. With a timely surge under Antony Raj S., MI ARION accelerated smartly to take command and kept finding enough to hold off the challengers in the closing strides.
MEMPHIS (J: M. S. Deora, T: Javed Khan) ran a commendable race to secure second place after staying on gamely in the straight, while HORUS THE GREAT (J: Hasib Alam, T: B Rajender Reddy) finished third, putting in a steady effort to complete the frame.

Division II of the Oakmead Handicap at 04:30 PM went the way of SEA EAGLE (J: Antony Raj S., T: Neil Darashah), racing in the colours of M/s Manjri Horse Breeders’ Farm Pvt Ltd and partners, with OH MY DARLING and THREE LITTLE WORDS finishing behind.
The feature build-up continued into the Bangalore Turf Club Cup at 05:00 PM over 1200m, where SHINE (J: Suraj Narredu, T: Vijay Singh) secured victory for Mr Subir Dasgupta representing M/s Cairnhill Stud Farm Pvt Ltd & M/s Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, finishing ahead of VICTORIA CROSS and ABHICANDRA.
