The fourth race of the afternoon, The Averoff Cup, a Class IV contest for horses rated 21–46 (rated 1–26 eligible) over 1600 metres, was run at 04:00 PM during the Calcutta Races – Summer Meeting Second Day on Friday, 6th March 2026. Producing a well-judged performance, Banduk Wali (J: Vinod Shinde) delivered a decisive run for trainer Rutherford Alford, securing victory for M/s Cherie Sports Pvt Ltd in an impressive mile performance.

In this Kolkata race result 6 March update from the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, Banduk Wali demonstrated patience and balance through the early stages before asserting authority in the straight. Jockey Vinod Shinde kept the mare well placed through the middle stages, conserving momentum before asking for the decisive effort approaching the final furlong. Responding gamely, Banduk Wali quickened clear under confident handling to seal the contest with authority.

Verrazzano (J: Vishal Bunde, T: Ritesh E. K) ran a solid race to claim the runner-up position, staying on steadily in the closing stages. Oh My Darling (J: Varun, T: Vikash Jaiswal) finished third after maintaining a consistent gallop through the stretch, completing the leading trio in a competitive mile contest.
