Race number five on Friday’s Winter Meeting card at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club produced a polished performance as Pantazi landed The Castlebridge Handicap, a Class II contest over 1200 metres, at 3:30 PM on 30 January 2026. In what will feature prominently in the Kolkata race result 30 January coverage, the Aashay Doctor-trained runner showed speed and composure under P. Breaking alertly from the gates, Pantazi was soon travelling strongly in the early stages as the field sorted itself out down the straight. Trevor kept the colt balanced and within striking distance before asking him to lengthen approaching the final furlong. Once produced, Pantazi responded gamely, asserting clear authority in the closing strides to settle the issue without undue pressure.
Aperol (J: Gaurav Singh, T: B. Rajender Reddy) put in an honest effort to chase the winner home, finishing second after sticking to his task resolutely through the run-in, while Romping Home (J: Hindu Singh, T: Deepesh Narredu) stayed on well to claim third.
