The CALCUTTA RACES, SUMMER MEETING’s eighth day on Friday, 27th March, 2026, gathered momentum with Race 2, The Nikita Handicap, a Class III contest for horses rated 61–86 (rated 41–66 eligible), run over 1600 metres at 03:00 PM. Delivering a polished performance, Xanthe (J: P. Trevor) powered home to secure victory for trainer S S Attaollahi, representing owner Mr C Aryama Sundaram. Settled comfortably through the early exchanges, Xanthe travelled with purpose as the field approached the final bend. P.
