ROYAL MEMBER settled comfortably through the early stages as the field found its rhythm over the mile trip. Approaching the home turn, Suraj Narredu began to inch forward, positioning the gelding within striking distance. Once balanced in the straight, ROYAL MEMBER responded smartly, quickening decisively to assert control and pull clear in the final furlong, leaving rivals with little chance of mounting a late challenge.
CARNATION, ridden by Darshan N and trained by Neil Darashah, finished a game second after staying on steadily in the straight. PYRGOS, under Hasib Alam for trainer Aashay Doctor, secured third place with a respectable late effort, completing the frame behind the impressive winner.
With the day now underway, attention shifts swiftly to the next contest — The King’s Academy Plate at 03:15 PM — as the Calcutta card continues to build momentum.
