Race 4 of the SPRING MEETING – Second Day at Kolkata on Saturday, 14th February, 2026, delivered a performance of class and control as THE CALCUTTA MILLION (2025-26) (GRADE III) over 1600 metres for three-year-old horses lit up the 03:30 PM slot. In what will headline the Kolkata race result 14th February, ADMIRINGLY powered home in 1:40.875 to secure a prestigious victory for trainer Aashay Doctor and jockey P. Trevor. The winner races in the colours of Mrs Snigdha Kapoor, Mrs Ruchi Kedia, Mrs Disha Viral Doctor, M/s Arion Horse Co Pvt Ltd, M/s Deciding Factor LLP, Dr S P Sardeshmukh, Mr Farhan Elvis Ahmed, Mr Hemang Devendra Doctor, Mr Viral Devkumar Doctor & Mr Devkumar Devendra Doctor.
From the break, ADMIRINGLY travelled with purpose, settling into a comfortable rhythm as the field negotiated the opening bends. P. Trevor judged the pace astutely, allowing his mount to stalk the leaders before asking for a decisive effort approaching the straight. When the reins were loosened, ADMIRINGLY quickened impressively, asserting authority inside the final furlong and keeping challengers at bay with a sustained burst of speed that underscored his Grade III credentials.
SAIKO, partnered by Sah Farid Ansari and trained by Vijay Singh, gave earnest chase but had to settle for second in 1:41.181 after looming large at the top of the stretch. Stablemate SILVER DREAM, also from Vijay Singh’s yard and ridden by M S Deora, finished third in 1:43.213, staying on gamely but unable to bridge the gap to the front pair.
With THE CALCUTTA MILLION decided in emphatic fashion, attention at the Kolkata track now turns to the upcoming THE CARING MINDS CUP at 04:00 PM, where another competitive field promises to keep the afternoon’s momentum alive.
