Partnered by Vishal N Bunde and trained by Sabeel Shariff, the four-legged contender delivered a measured and confident performance for owner Mr Koushik Dutta, proving strongest in the concluding stages of the mile event.

Followers tracking the Kolkata race result 12 March witnessed a tactically run contest where positioning and patience proved crucial through the early and middle stages of the race. Ruling Star settled comfortably during the early exchanges as the field found rhythm around the bend. Approaching the home straight, Vishal N Bunde began to ask his mount for an effort, and the response was immediate. With a smooth surge and sustained gallop, Ruling Star gradually asserted his superiority, stretching clear in the closing strides to secure the prestigious cup with authority.

Charismatic finished second under Suraj Narredu for trainer Rutherford Alford, staying on gamely to claim the runner-up position, while Abhicandra, ridden by P. Trevor and trained by Shyam S Habbu, completed the frame in third after keeping on steadily through the final furlong.
