In a performance that stood out on a competitive card often reflected in the Kolkata race result 11 January, Silver Dream produced a polished display under Suraj Narredu to score for trainer Vijay Singh, carrying the colours of Mr Subir Dasgupta rep. M/s Cairnhill Stud Farm Pvt. Ltd., Mr Chandrakanth Kankaria & Mr Suvamoy Saha.
Breaking smartly from the gates, Silver Dream was quickly into stride and travelled smoothly through the early exchanges as the field sorted itself out. Narredu judged the pace to perfection, keeping his mount well balanced before asking for an effort approaching the final furlong. Once set alight, Silver Dream responded willingly, quickening clear to settle the issue decisively and underline his promise in this age-restricted company.
Thunderette put in a determined run to finish second, with Imran Chisty in the saddle for trainer Deepesh Narredu, staying on gamely to chase the winner home. The third spot went to Tetsu, partnered by Mukesh Kumar and trained by Aashay Doctor, who kept on steadily to complete the placings. Official timings were awaited at the time of publishing.
