The seventh race of the day, THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB CUP, a Class I contest for horses rated 81 and above (61–86 eligible), unfolded over 1400m at Calcutta Racecourse on Sunday, 11th January 2026 at 3:00 PM. In a commanding display of speed and composure, Glorious King (J: Suraj Narredu, T: Deepesh Narredu) raced to victory for owners Ms Ameeta Mehra, Mrs B. E. Saldanha, Mr Jehangir Mehta & Mr Deepesh M. Narredu, marking another memorable moment in the Kolkata race result 11 January.

From the break, Glorious King settled well in a prominent position, biding his time as the pace set by the field tested the stamina of his rivals. Approaching the home straight, Suraj Narredu skillfully angled him to the outside, unleashing a decisive burst of speed that left challengers trailing. The winner’s blend of tactical awareness and acceleration proved too much for the field, earning a clear-cut triumph.

CLIFFORD (J: Varun, T: Vikash Jaiswal) fought valiantly to secure second, finishing closely behind the leader, while KNOTTY BLUSH (J: M S Deora, T: Aashay Doctor) ran a determined race to claim third. The top three demonstrated fine margins of separation, reflecting a competitive and thrilling contest.

With the Hyderabad Race Club Cup concluded, attention now shifts to the day’s highlight, the Calcutta Derby Stakes (2025–2026, Grade I), scheduled for 3:30 PM, promising an even greater test of speed, stamina, and strategy.
