The Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) will convene a six-race fixture on Friday, 20th February, outlining a measured and competitive afternoon of flat racing. The programme will commence at 2:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM, assembling a cross-section of handicap divisions and an age-restricted contest within a compact yet purposeful schedule.
Proceedings will open with The Agostini Handicap at 2:30 PM. The Class V contest for horses rated 1–26 will be run over 1400 metres and will carry prize money of Rs.3,00,000.
CONTENDERS – Mohsin (ridden by MD Azharuddin), Upper Street (ridden by P Tejeshwar), Lineupandcollect (ridden by Gaurav Singh), Soul Aquarian (ridden by M. S. Deora), and Dancing Queen (ridden by Varun).
The PA Bear Plate will follow at 3:00 PM over 1200 metres and will offer Rs.11,00,000 in prize money, making it the richest race on the programme restricted to three-years-old only.
CONTENDERS – Argento (ridden by P. Trevor), Fifty Shades (ridden by Akshay Kumar), Gold Script (ridden by M. S. Deora), Knotty Nash (ridden by Suraj Narredu), and Stormchaser (ridden by Sah Farid Ansari).
The Royal Blue Star Handicap Division I will be conducted at 3:30 PM over 1200 metres for Class IV horses rated 21–46, with a total prize of Rs.4,00,000.
CONTENDERS – Felix (ridden by MD Azharuddin), Priceless Prince (ridden by Shezad Khan), Live It Love It (ridden by P. Trevor), Spirit Bay (ridden by Varun), and Track Striking (ridden by Vinay Jaiswal).
Division II of the same handicap will be staged at 4:00 PM, also over 1200 metres, and will similarly carry Rs.4,00,000 in prize money.
CONTENDERS – Contessina (ridden by Suraj Narredu), Three Little Words (ridden by Akshay Kumar), Indian Jack (ridden by Arman Khan), Sporting Trainer (ridden by Varun), and Elusive Ranger (ridden by Arul J H).
At 4:30 PM, The Calorific Cup will be run over 1100 metres for Class II horses rated 61–86, with a purse of Rs.5,50,000.
CONTENDERS – Outlander (ridden by M. S. Deora), Aspira (ridden by Abhishek Mhatre), Morano (ridden by P. Trevor), Victoria Cross (ridden by Suraj Narredu), and Light The World (ridden by Sah Farid Ansari).
The meeting will conclude with The Captain Courageous Handicap at 5:00 PM over 1600 metres. The Class IV event for horses rated 21–46 will carry prize money of Rs.4,00,000.
CONTENDERS – Goodwill (ridden by Arul J H), Amaze And Inspire (ridden by P. Trevor), Paulite Warrior (ridden by Suraj Narredu), Zambezi (ridden by Imran Chisty), and No Worry (ridden by Arman Khan).
