Race two of the Bangalore Summer Meeting’s third day saw a spirited contest in The Supervite Plate (Division II), where KNOTTY SCOTTY asserted dominance in a 1400-meter battle. Trained by Prasanna Kumar and guided smartly by jockey Vivek. G, Knotty Scotty crossed the wire in 1:27.78, showcasing a strong late burst and excellent race temperament to bag the honors.

Settled mid-pack for much of the run, Knotty Scotty made his move approaching the final bend and stormed down the straight with a turn of foot that none could match. The gelding, showing improved form this season, delivered a convincing win that left no doubt about his readiness for stiffer tests in the coming weeks.

Close behind was ART OF ROMANCE, trained by Warren Singh and ridden by K. Sai Kiran, who put in a solid performance to secure second place with a timing of 1:28.46. Although the margin was significant, Art of Romance held off a strong challenge for the runner-up spot, signaling potential for future contests over similar distances.

GANDOLFINI, under Ramswarup and trained by K. Purshotham, completed the frame in 1:28.78, staying on gamely despite being outpaced in the final stretch. The gelding held off several closers in a tightly-packed finish for the minor placings.

The Supervite Plate (Div II) proved to be a good test for the lower-rated runners on the card and highlighted the emerging form of Knotty Scotty, who now looks set for a successful summer campaign.
