The gelding, partnered by ace jockey A. Sandesh and trained by K. Purshotham, showed early intent and never relinquished control, stopping the clock at 1:13.78 over the six-furlong trip.
Breaking sharply from the gates, Knotty Patton quickly assumed the lead and set a solid tempo, dictating terms from the front. Sandesh judged the pace to perfection, ensuring the favourite had enough in reserve for the final push. The victory was a polished display of speed and stamina, confirming the horse’s readiness to climb the ranks in the coming weeks of the summer season.
Taking second place was GIMMLER, ridden by the vastly experienced Imran Chisty and trained by Rutherford Alford. Despite giving chase, the gelding could not match the leader’s pace but still ran a credible race, finishing in 1:14.91 and showing signs of potential in future sprints.
The final spot on the podium was claimed by LAUTERBRUNNEN, who made a late bid under Angad, representing trainer Narayana Gowda V.. Clocking 1:15.37, the colt held off a cluster of rivals to secure third in a respectable finish.
