The final race of Saturday’s fixture at the Bangalore Turf Club, the Xisca Plate, brought the 21st day of the Bangalore summer meeting to a close, with Kiss Of Grey producing a strong finish to take the honours. This 1500-metre handicap for horses rated 20 to 45, held at 5:00 pm, carried a winners’ purse of Rs. 5,10,000 and wrapped up an action-filled day on a high note.
Trained by Satish Narredu and ridden by Suraj Narredu, Kiss Of Grey delivered a smooth performance, making all the right moves en route to victory in a time of 1:34.98. The winner is owned by M/s. Rapar Galloping Stars LLP, Mr. B. P. Devaraja, Mr. Teja Gollapudi, and Dr. Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni, and the result marked a satisfying end to the day for the connections.
The runner-up position went to Sunlit Path, trained by K. Purshotham and ridden by Y. S. Srinath, who crossed the line in 1:36.06 after staying on well in the straight.
Third place was secured by Thrill Of Brazil, partnered by Antony Raj S. for trainer Md Sajid Qu’shi, who clocked 1:36.12.
