The Kempton Park Race Cards 7 January will outline a full seven-race all-weather programme scheduled for Wednesday evening, with racing set to run from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The meeting will feature a balanced mix of handicaps and novice contests across sprint, middle-distance, and staying trips, with prize money ranging from £6,000 to £26,000.
The opening contest at 5:00pm will be THE SUPPORTBOOSTS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6), run over six furlongs for three-year-olds. Twelve runners will be expected to line up in the £6,000 event, which should place early emphasis on speed and positioning around Kempton’s sharp sprint circuit.
At 5:30pm, attention will turn to THE EBF RESTRICTED NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 4) over seven furlongs. Nine runners will be scheduled to contest the £10,000 race, offering an important opportunity for lightly raced horses to gain experience and progress in novice company.
The third race at 6:00pm will be THE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) over seven furlongs for horses aged four years and above. Ten runners will be expected to compete for £8,000, with the contest likely to reward consistency and sound tactical judgement.
The feature of the evening will come at 6:30pm with THE SMARTVIEW RACECARDS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2) over seven furlongs. Eight runners will be set to compete for the highest prize fund of the card at £26,000, bringing together established all-weather performers in a race expected to be run at a strong, even tempo.
A Class 5 handicap over one mile will follow at 7:00pm in THE SAME RACE MULTI HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5). Ten runners will be declared for the £8,000 contest, which should test stamina and balance through Kempton’s sweeping turns.
The penultimate contest at 7:30pm will be THE 3 BOOSTS A DAY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) over one mile, seven furlongs and 218 yards. Seven runners will be scheduled to take part in the £12,000 race, facing a demanding test that often favours horses proven over extended distances.
The card will conclude at 8:00pm with THE INDUSTRY LEADING IN-PLAY MARKETS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) over one mile, two furlongs and 219 yards. Fourteen runners will be expected to compete for £6,000, making it the largest field of the evening and providing a competitive close to the programme.
