The prestigious and widely respected Kempton Park Racecourse will stage a competitive seven-race programme on Saturday, 21 February, with three Grade 2 contests and a valuable staying handicap forming the centrepiece of a high-quality winter fixture. The card will combine established performers with progressive novices across distances ranging from two miles to just beyond three miles.

The afternoon will begin at 1:10pm with a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle over 2m 5f, carrying prize money of £20,000. Nine runners are declared, including Favour And Fortune, Royal Infantry, Charlus, Whatsupwithyou and Bourbali, in a race that will place emphasis on stamina and accurate hurdling.

At 1:45pm, the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle will be run over 2m for £80,000 in prize money. A field of six is set to line up, headed by One Horse Town, Precious Man, Allure, Falls of Acharn and Fantasy World. The contest will provide a significant examination for the four-year-old division at this stage of the season.

The 2:25pm Grade 2 Pendil Novices’ Steeple Chase will cover 2m 4f 118y and offer £75,000. Four runners — Go West, Jax Junior, Old Cowboy and Jasmine Bliss — are declared for the intermediate-distance chase, which will demand precision at each fence.

At 3:00pm, the Grade 2 Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle will be staged over 2m with £80,000 at stake. Twelve runners are set to go to post, including Klub de Reve, Onlyforfrankie, Blues Singer, Desertmore News and Double Measure, ensuring depth and competitive strength in the novice ranks.

The feature event at 3:35pm will be a Class 1 Handicap Steeple Chase over 3m 11y, carrying prize money of £150,000. Thirteen runners are entered, among them Boombawn, Henry’s Friend, Soul Icon, Deep Cave and The Doyen Chief. The extended trip will test both endurance and sustained jumping fluency.

At 4:05pm, a Class 2 Handicap Steeple Chase will be contested over 2m 4f 118y for £40,000. Nine runners, including Etalon, Bad, Viroflay, Riskintheground and Califet En Vol, are set to line up in another tightly matched contest.

The card will conclude at 4:40pm with a Class 3 Open National Hunt Flat Race over 2m, offering £17,000 in prize money. Fourteen runners are declared, with Le Roi Remi, Smile John Boy, Baile An Or, Fine Shot and Jambon among those scheduled to take part.

The Kempton Park Race Cards 21 February meeting will present a structured programme of seven races, combining graded novice contests with valuable handicaps and a concluding flat event for emerging National Hunt prospects at the distinguished Surrey venue.
