Kempton Park will stage a seven-race all-weather meeting on Monday, 19 January, with the Kempton Park Race Cards 19 January outlining a compact but varied Polytrack programme. The card will combine handicaps, novice contests and a maiden for fillies, with race distances ranging from six furlongs to extended middle-distance trips and prize money distributed evenly across the afternoon.
Racing will begin at 1:08pm and will conclude at 4:08pm, providing a steady midweek schedule built around competitive lower- and mid-tier races.
The afternoon will open at 1:08pm with a Class 6 handicap over one mile, carrying prize money of £6,000 and attracting eight runners. Apache Green, Super Hit, Token Gesture and Equion are among those expected to line up, with the contest likely to provide an early test of tactical positioning around Kempton’s turning mile.
At 1:38pm, attention will switch to six furlongs for another Class 6 handicap, also worth £6,000. Magna, Respectable Jack, Smasher and Horus will feature among the eight declared runners, with pace and track position set to play an important role in the short home straight.
The third race at 2:08pm will be a Class 3 maiden fillies’ stakes over one mile, two furlongs and 219 yards, with prize money of £12,000. Nine runners are expected, including Al Amirah, Distorted Truth, Echo Valley and Five Moons. The race will offer an important opportunity for fillies stepping into middle-distance company on the all-weather.
A similar trip will be used at 2:38pm for a Class 3 novice stakes, also carrying £12,000 in prize money. Ten runners are set to take part, with Siouxfonic, Lion City, Abando and Caliban among the names entered. The contest will provide a useful guide to emerging talent with scope for further progress.
The 3:08pm race will return to six furlongs for a Class 5 handicap worth £8,000. Seven runners are expected, including Up The Agenda, Unionville, Mighty Vega and Space Bear. With a smaller field, early positioning may prove decisive.
At 3:38pm, a Class 4 fillies’ handicap over six furlongs will be staged for £12,000. Shallow, Cressida Wildes, Your Love and Gogo Yubari are among the seven runners likely to contest a race that should blend speed with proven all-weather form.
The meeting will conclude at 4:08pm with a Class 5 handicap over seven furlongs, worth £8,000 and drawing a field of eleven. I’m Workin On It, Riot, Lerwick and Kev are among those set to run, bringing the Kempton Park Race Cards 19 January to a close with a competitive finale.
