Joyful Spirit race result took centre stage in Race 2, The Triveni Plate, at the Mysore Monsoon Races 2026 on Thursday, October 8. Covering 1600 metres in 1:38.063, Joyful Spirit was ridden by P. Kiran Rai and trained by Rajesh Babu G Y for owner Mr Amarjeet Singh Narula. The 2:30 PM contest produced a closely fought finish, with the winner holding on by a narrow margin.

Joyful Spirit settled into the race with composure as the field worked its way through the mile journey. P. Kiran Rai kept the runner within striking distance before asking for a stronger effort in the closing stages. The response came at the right time, allowing Joyful Spirit to build enough momentum and secure the verdict in a tightly contested finish.
The final stages were particularly close, with Augusto pressing strongly and remaining within reach of the winner. Joyful Spirit, however, maintained its rhythm all the way to the post and stopped the clock at 1:38.063. The result gave trainer Rajesh Babu G Y and owner Mr Amarjeet Singh Narula a notable success on the 11th day of the Mysore Monsoon Races 2026.
Augusto finished second in 1:38.163, just a tenth of a second behind the winner. Anish Anamo Hangal partnered the runner, with Pradeep Annaiah K as trainer. Rising Form secured third place in 1:38.654 under Siddaraju .P, with Imtiaz Khan in charge.
The close times underlined the competitive nature of the contest, with all three leading runners separated by less than six-tenths of a second. Joyful Spirit’s ability to sustain the finishing effort proved decisive when it mattered most.
With The Triveni Plate concluded, racing at Mysore Racecourse will continue with The Belur Plate (Div II) at 3:00 PM, as the 11th day of the Mysore Monsoon Races 2026 moves into its next contest.
