After a strong start to the 2025–2026 season on 1 November, Jebel Ali Racecourse is all set for another lively afternoon of racing this Saturday, 15 November. The card packs plenty of variety, with the JARC Sprint Series (Sponsored by ESS) and the Emirates Airline Cup serving as the day’s two major attractions — each carrying AED 120,000. From sharp sprints to longer tests of stamina, it’s shaping up to be a well-rounded raceday that reflects the UAE’s deep racing culture.
The opener at 14:00 is the Porsche Cup (Race 1), a 1000-metre contest for UAE-bred horses aged four and above. With AED 50,000 on offer, it gives local breeding operations a chance to show their progress early in the afternoon.
Race 2, the Al Shafar Investment Stakes at 14:30, steps things up over 1400 metres. Open to 3YO+, the AED 100,000 prize ensures a competitive field and should offer a solid middle-distance contest before the day’s younger horses take the spotlight.
Attention then shifts to the juveniles with Race 3, the 2YO Maiden Stakes – part of the Daaeem Incentive program – scheduled for 15:00. Run over 1200 metres and worth AED 72,000, it gives racing fans their first look at inexperienced but exciting prospects. The Daaeem theme continues at 15:30 with Race 4, the Dubai Refreshment (P.J.S.C) Cup, another 1200-metre sprint for 3YO+ with the same prize money.
The first feature of the afternoon arrives at 16:00 with Race 5, the JARC Sprint Series (Sponsored by ESS). A fast 1000-metre dash for 3YO+, it promises tight finishes and tactical riding, especially with AED 120,000 at stake.
At 16:30, the Emirates Airline Cup (Race 6) takes over as the main middle-distance challenge of the day. Run over 1800 metres for 3YO+, it’s a test of patience, rhythm, and late acceleration — and another AED 120,000 purse adds to the stakes.
The programme concludes at 17:00 with Race 7, the Al Awir Handicap Stakes. This 1950-metre contest, worth AED 86,000, often turns into a battle of endurance, making it a fitting finale to an afternoon full of competitive racing.
As the sun sets over Jebel Ali’s desert backdrop, the racecourse once again highlights everything that makes UAE racing special – speed, heart, and a line-up of contests that keep fans engaged from start to finish.
